Seed Source Scholarship – Deadline May 24, 2024

Seed Source Inc. understands the importance of youth for our future industry. To support the youth who are furthering in Agricultural studies, Seed Source Inc. will be awarding a scholarship of $1,000 to one candidate who meets the eligibility criteria and demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in Agriculture.

Eligibility
  • Presently a Grade 12 high school student attending Horizon School Division or Northeast School Division are eligible to enter
  • Have enrolled as a first-year full-time student in the fall in a post-secondary program related to Agriculture, and or bioresources. Both University and college enrolment apply. Proof of enrollment is required before the scholarship can be received.
 
How to Apply: Application Requirements
  1. Resume demonstrating work and volunteer activities.
    • Title page including:
    a. Full name and contact information – mailing address, phone number, and email address.
    b. High school information – name, location, phone number, principal’s name, and email address.
    c. Post-secondary information – the name of institution and program

  2. Written essay (approximately 500-750 words) answering the following questions:
    • What specific experiences or interests have led you to pursue a college education in agriculture?
    • How will an education in Agriculture help you in your future endeavors?
Selection Process:
  • A finalist from the above schools will be chosen from the essay submissions.

  • The final recipient will be notified June 17, 2024, and the scholarship will be paid when the recipient is officially accepted, and tuition is paid to the educational institution they are enrolled in.

  • The recipient of the scholarship will be advertised in local papers and Seed Source social media platforms.

Note: If successful, the candidate must provide a high-resolution headshot and agree to have their name and photo included in promotional materials.
